V.I.R.T.U.E., Inc. is honored to join forces with The M.O.D.E.L. Group of More Than Conquerors Faith Church in an effort to reach out to young women. This time however, we tackle yet a different health issue targeted toward women. That is cervical cancer. In an attempt to address the natural, social and medical questions of this younger generation V.I.R.T.U.E., Inc has partnered with The M.O.D.E.L. Group to offer information, clarity and support along with spiritual recommendations for living a healthy and whole life, physically and spiritually. We believe that coupled together this Virtue Connection will offer a complete look at not only the natural benefits of abstinence, but the intimacy and sanctity of the sexual relationship. Additionally, it is the shared belief of both V.I.R.T.U.E., Inc. and The M.O.D.E.L. Group that the information afforded through this partnership and connection is crucial to a younger generation (specifically young women). As lack of education and misinformation directly affects the mindset and tendencies of early sexual activity and promiscuous behavior. This type sexual practice is known to spread the Human Papilloma Virus, a leading cause of cervical cancer. Below you will find the mission statement for The Virtue Connection.
Mission
Focus on awareness and early detection is critical in order to decrease the devastating effects such as misinformation, late diagnosis and even death in breast and cervical cancer patients. We believe that awareness, early detection and the development of prevention skills in young women is critical. The lack of these components can indirectly contribute to this negative perpetual cycle. Educating a younger sect of women to the advantages of early detection and prevention can diminish their hesitancy to seek medical intervention due to lack of resources, embarrassment, or ignorance of self help techniques. Through The V.I.R.T.U.E. Connection we will "CONNECT" younger women to pertinent information and to one another to help them become advocates in their own "peer groups" for prevention techniques of cervical cancer.
The vision of The V.I.R.T.U.E. Connection is to implement C-collaborative O-occurrences Networking N-noble E-experiences C-challenged T-together. Our overall goal will be to address and increase the education of young women in high risk age brackets for cervical cancer. Additionally, we will work to network and encourage young ladies by helping to stimulate their confidence, nurture their self-worth, network and inspire them to talk to others regarding their experiences.
V.I.R.T.U.E., Inc through the V.I.R.T.U.E. Connection plans to accomplish our goal by increasing the knowledge level of high risk aged women of the importance of early detection of breast cancer, and prevention skills/techniques, (specifically abstinence) as it relates to the correlation of early sexual activity and cervical cancer.
We will present a strong message of spirituality, consecration, self-worth, health education, and empowerment! Through medical professionals, certified and trained inspirational leaders, we will impart an increased knowledge of the importance of spiritual and physical wholeness and its' relativity to the link between early sexual activity and cervical cancer.
